Meet Allison Laubenthal, Director of Client Success at Phil

Allison

We are excited to feature Allison Laubenthal, our Director of Client Success, in this employee spotlight. Allison’s wealth of healthcare experience gives her deep expertise and understanding of our clients’ goals and challenges and how to navigate them.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at Phil.

My job as Director of Client Success is to cultivate and manage relationships with our biopharma manufacturer clients. This encompasses everything from program implementation and launch readiness, to serving as their primary consultant, providing highly targeted data, analytics, and insights. Ultimately, my team is focused on maximizing the value we offer our clients to help them reach their goals.

Where or how do you think you can have the biggest impact in this role?

I previously worked at CoverMyMeds, which prepared me well for this role because I worked in a similar space involving access, adherence, and affordability strategies. Prior to that I worked at AbbVie, supporting the Humira global marketing team, which at the time was the highest selling drug in the world. These roles have given me tremendous perspective into the pains and priorities of both large pharmaceutical brands as well as stakeholders in the healthcare tech space.

What are some of the challenges that you’ve faced since joining the team?

Our solutions are extremely customizable, meaning we can quickly change business rules and optimize our technology depending on the needs of our clients. It is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Factoring in the needs of our clients’ brands can be challenging as they range across several different therapeutic areas, requiring unique and targeted approaches.

Another challenge is helping manufacturers, healthcare providers, and patients navigate a constantly evolving payer landscape. Our objective is to identify barriers to access and provide manufacturers with actionable insights that enable them to improve patient access to therapy.

Can you share a recent project that you’re passionate about?

We recently ran a pilot program with a regional focus, allowing us to document best practices and incorporate them in the nation-wide program. Working hand-in-hand with our client, we were able to identify gaps where additional resources, training and marketing were needed to execute a successful national launch.

I'm most impressed with the speed at which we solve things at Phil. If a client has a challenge or an issue, teams across the company, from Product and Engineering to Client Success and Business Operations, have the mindset of "this is a priority and something we need to fix together." And within, sometimes as little as hours, it's solved. It's amazing to witness and be a part of.

On a personal note, what would your perfect weekend look like?

Sleeping in and waking up to sunshine. Spending time with family and friends, teaching a cycling class, trying new restaurants, and taking my dog on long walks!

How would your best friend describe you in three words?

Energetic, loyal, and fun!
