If additional documentation is needed from the provider's office, how will PhilRx communicate with the provider? Fax? Phone? Email? Portal? How many days goes by before PhilRx tries an alternate method or general reminder?

We confirm communication preference with the office during our initial welcome call and adjust our method based on office input between fax, email, and phone. While we do have a physician portal available, we do not recommend offices utilize it in the early days of the program as this often introduces an incremental barrier to prescribing to Phil (i.e., something new to learn and manage). Please reach out to us once you see high adoption with an office and we’re happy to set up the portal for you.

Our standard cadence (adjusted to office preferences, is below as agreed. 

  • 1st Attempt: Day 0 – Fax/Email

  • 2nd Attempt: Day 1: Fax/Email

  • 3rd Attempt: Day 2: Phone Call/Voicemail

  • Weekly HCP Summary Fax/Email letting them know of outstanding items (on Monday and Thursdays)

  • Note that we do a ‘welcome call’ for every new HCP who writes to us
